Intermatic 24 hour 2 Circuit Time Switches 2 Circuit Swimming Pool Time Switches
These Time Switches provide coordinated control for heater and filter pump operations. This 2 circuit switch is designed to turn off a gas fired swimming pool heater approximately 20 minutes before the filter pump is turned off. Eliminates the problem of pounding and knocking due to overheated water, reduces scale and lime deposits and extends the service life of the heater. The pump motor circuit is rated for 2 H.P. at 120 volts or 5 H.P. at 240 volts. The heater control circuit which operates the gas solenoid in the heater is rated for up to 250 volts (see note below). The 24 hour dial allows up to 12 "ON-OFF' operations each day. One set of "ON and "OFF' trippers supplied with each switch. Minimum "ON time is one hour.Applications:
Specifications: Case - NEMA 3R rated for indoor-outdoor installation. Heavy duty .036 drawn steel 9-3/8 (23.8 cm) high, 5-1/2 (14.0 cm) wide, 3-5/8 (9.2 cm) deep in beige finish. Hasp, with hole for lock, holds permanently attached side-hinged door closed. Bracket plus 2 holes below switch on back for mounting. Separate grounding terminal. "P" Models come with an all plastic rustproof case for rainproof/dustoff applications. Knockouts - Combination 1/2 - 3/4 nominal knockouts, one on back and each side of case, and two on bottom. Switch Rating - Filter circuit - 40 Amp. resistive each pole 120-480 V.A.C., 40 Amp. tungsten, inductive or 1000 VA pilot duty each pole 120-277 V.A.C.; 2 H.P(24 FLA) - 120 V.A.C.; 5 H.P(28 FLA) - 240 V.A.C. Heater Control Circuit - 10 Amp. Max. 250 V.A.C. Note: The heater control switch (fireman switch) is closed when the time switch contacts are open to allow remote operation of the heater. A flow or pressure switch therefore must always be part of the heater control circuit.
